MULTAN, Dec 13: An agreement has been reached between the Multan Municipal Corpor-ation and Gowala Association over the shifting of Gowala Colonies outside the city.
The decision was taken at a meeting here on Thursday which was attended by city Nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar, DCO Maj Azam Sulman (retired) and cattle pen association (CPA) president Adul Wahid Qureshi.
In the first phase, cattle pens will be shifted to lands allocated at Mati Tal Road, Duniyapur Road and Shujaabad Road.
Land owners are developing these colonies on self-help basis while facilities like electricity, sewerage, metal roads, veterinary hospitals, dispensaries, post offices, parks, banks and schools will be provided by the administration.
