LAHORE, Dec 5: A huge fire broke out in a three-storey warehouse near Sootar Mandi here on Thursday, burning down the whole stock of shoes and damaging the building completely.

Some adjacent houses were also partially affected in the blaze which forced locals to vacate them.

Rescue 1122 Fire Service personnel said severe hurdles were faced during the fire-fighting due to narrow streets.

The blaze which led to collapse of the entire structure was brought under control after some hectic efforts of three hours. The whole stock of shoes, leather and chemicals was burnt in the blaze.
