Fog engulfs Karachi affecting road and air traffic

KARACHI: A blanket of fog engulfed Karachi on Thursday morning causing low visibility conditions which affected air traffic and the flow of vehicular traffic on roads, DawnNews reported.

The schedule of flights to and from the city (both domestic and international) were severely affected as operations at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport were shut since 5 am.

Vehicular traffic on roads became slow as drivers witched on the headlights of their cars to navigate through the fog.

A traffic jam was witnessed at Shahrah-e-Faisal, the main artery of the city, whereas a collision occurred between two passenger buses in Karachi's Korangi area injuring several persons.
