KARACHI, Nov 19: Around 10 per cent of Pakistan’s adult population is diabetic and the country could become the world’s fourth largest diabetic nation according to international estimates, experts said at a press conference on Tuesday.

“Some 7.1 million diabetic patients are in Pakistan and as many are in pre-diabetes condition, ones who don’t know as yet about the disease they got inflicted of,” said Dr Zahid Mian, a member of the Pakistan Endocrine Society. “The number of diabetics in Pakistan is estimated to grow up to 114 million by 2030,” he said.
