Seven of a family slain in Dera Bugti

QUETTA, Oct 29: Armed men barged into house of a tribal elder and killed seven members of his family, including three women and two children, in Zain Koh area of Dera Bugti district on Tuesday.

A local administration official said the victims were sleeping at the time of the attack.

Tribal elder Wadera Tharo Khan Bugti was not present in the house.

Frontier Corps personnel moved the bodies to hospital.

Levies Force officials said the victims received multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.

Quoting eyewitnesses, they said about a dozen armed men barged into the house in the morning, opened indiscriminate fire on the people inside and fled.

The motive of the attack could not be ascertained immediately, but Levies officials said it might be the result of old enmity.
