LAHORE, Oct 26: Lahore Ring Road Authority chairperson Rashid Mehmood Langrial was posted Lahore Commissioner on Saturday.

Belonging to the 23rd Common, Mr Rashid had earlier served as Punjab Secretary I&C and Rawalpindi and Khanewal DCO.

CS: New Chief Secretary Naveed Akram Cheema assumed charge of his office here on Saturday evening.

Immediately after assuming charge of the office, Mr Cheema presided over a meeting of divisional commissioners and DCOs and discussed with them his priorities and the current situation in the province.

Belonging to the 8th Common, he had earlier served as Secretary Excise and Forests in Punjab. He was sent to the federal government after he developed differences with the then chief secretary, Javaid Mehmood.—Staff Reporter
