ISLAMABAD, June 3: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the results of the competitive examination 2002, in which 476 candidates were declared pass out of 2,769 with a pass percentage of 17.19.
An FPSC announcement said that the candidates had qualified the written exams for recruitment to posts in BPS-17 by securing 40 per cent marks in the compulsory subjects and 50 per cent marks in the aggregate.
Out of the 476 successful candidates, 92 were women, 308 from Punjab, followed by Sindh (rural) 21, Sindh (urban) 18, NWFP 82, Northern Areas and Fata 28, Balochistan 10 and AJK 8. The domicile of one candidate did not mention the province.
The candidates who have already been allocated groups/services on the basis of a previous competitive examination will not be required to take the psychological test afresh in case they have qualify the written portion of the examination.
