Two hurt in landmine blasts

PARACHINAR, Oct 9: Two people suffered injuries in two landmine blasts in Pewar and Boshehra areas of Kurram tribal region here on Wednesday.

Sources said that Kamil Syed was going to his fields when he hit a landmine planted by unknown miscreants in Pewar locality which exploded with a bang. As a result he sustained wounds and was taken to agency headquarters hospital.

The second landmine exploded in Boshehra village, injuring Zareef Khan, a tractor driver.

His tractor trolley was passing near Naeem tube-well when it hit the landmine. As result Zareef Khan suffered injuries while tractor trolley was destroyed. He was shifted to Sadda hospital.

The political administration registered case against unknown miscreants and started investigation.

Meanwhile, residents of Kurram Agency have demanded of the government to clear the agency of landmines.
