LAHORE, Oct 3: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and PIA will play opener of the NBP Gold Cup hockey tournament starting here on Friday at the National Hockey Stadium. The tournament ends on Oct 12.

Overall, 10 departmental teams are featuring in the tournament which will be the first to be played on the newly-laid blue AstroTurf of the National Hockey Stadium.

Teams have been divided into two pools with pool ‘A’ comprising Custom, Navy, Wapda, Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Air Force while pool ‘B’ contains PIA, NBP, Police, Army and Port Qasim.
