Reply sought from FPSC in CSS age case

LAHORE, Sept 30: The Lahore High Court on Monday sought a reply from the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) on a petition moved by 10 CSS candidates seeking relaxation in age like government employees.

Rai Ansar Ali and other petitioners submitted that the commission gave a five-year relaxation in age to government servants appearing in the examination but did not provide the same benefit to common candidates. They pleaded that all the candidates should be given five-year age relaxation.

Representing the federal government, a deputy attorney general told the court that the FPSC gave two-year relaxation to common candidates. He said the commission was an independent institution and had its own rules and regulations.

The court adjourned hearing till Oct 3. — Staff Reporter
