Captured falcons set free

PESHAWAR, Sept 20: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Environment and Wildlife Haji Abrar Hussain Tanoli on Friday set free four precious falcons at Golf Club, Peshawar here.

Syed Mubarak Ali Shah, chief conservator wildlife, and other officers were also present on the occasion.

It may be recalled that the falcons had been captured from secret cavities of a Karachi-bound bus during checking on Kohat road near Badbher. Each falcon valued at over Rs3 million in the open market.

The minister gave Rs50,000 to the officials who had captured these falcons. He also directed the wildlife chief conservator to give one step promotion to them.—APP
