Three ‘commit’ suicide; bodies found in Charsadda

CHARSADDA, Sept 4: Three persons, including a boy, allegedly committed suicide while two bodies were recovered in different incidents here on Wednesday.

Ali, 10, son of Lal Zada, shot himself dead after his parents failed to buy a bicycle for him in Bahlola area of Wali Bagh.

Uncle of Ali reported to police that he committed suicide after his father couldn’t buy him a bicycle, said an official.

Fahim, son of Zahir Shah, inhaled poisonous pills after exchanging hot words with his sister in Akbarabad area of Sar Dheri.

Hazart Omar, son of Ghazi Gul, committed suicide at Sheikhabad area of Rajar over unknown reasons, police said.

Meanwhile, Charsadda police recovered body of an unknown girl at Tarnab road and buried it after carrying out its postmortem.

Umarzai police recovered body of a man named Rohul Amin from fields. He was allegedly killed by gunmen who threw his body there.

Meanwhile, Mir Gul was killed and his friend, Zahir Shah sustained injuries in a road accident on Peshawar-Charsadda road.

PYLON TARGETED: Unknown miscreants on Wednesday targeted an electricity tower at Sher Bahadar Kali.

Local officials said miscreants had planted IEDs near 132KV transmission line tower which exploded early on Wednesday. “However, no damage was done to the pylon,” said an official.

The police reached the spot and after cordoning off the area called the bomb disposal unit. The bomb disposal personnel defused another IED planted to target the police, said the official, adding the police registered case against unknown miscreants and began investigation.

In another incident at Khanmai, a mosque was partially damaged when a rocket planted by unknown miscreants in a garbage dump went off.

The BDU personnel defused three other rockets hidden at the same place, police said. A case was registered against unknown miscreants.
