Be Bold: Choose the Australian School of Business

Choosing the right university business program can be a daunting experience, but there are some internationally recognised measures which can help that choice.

The Australian School of Business (ASB) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) has enjoyed long running accreditation from EQUIS, and the AGSM MBA program is ranked number one in Australia according to the UK Financial Times rankings.

To achieve entry to the ASB’s Bachelor of Commerce program students require the highest ATAR entry score for an undergraduate business program in New South Wales.

More than 250 academic staff and 170 professional support staff teach around 13,000 students at the ASB, a mixture of Australian and international students taking a range of courses from the popular Masters degrees in Finance, Financial Analysis and Commerce to the upcoming 2012 Masters programs in Financial Planning and Financial Economics.

Within the ASB, students can choose from a wide range of business programs such as undergraduate, postgraduate, research, and the AGSM MBA.

The school is not just a teaching institution however is also renowned for its research, attracting academics from around the world who are leaders in their fields. UNSW will soon host the new Centre for International Finance and Regulation, and academics from the ASB will be driving the research.

The ASB has strong links with some of the most prestigious institutions around the world. The Knowledge@ASB partnership with Wharton School in the US recently won an Australian Marketing Institute Award for Excellence in Education.

The ASB is also a vital point of connection between the academic world and the business community, with many of Australia’s top business and government leaders serving as members of the Advisory Committee.

All students at the ASB are automatically members of a 60,000 strong alumni network spread internationally, many of them in pivotal roles with some of the world’s largest corporates.

In the words of international student Zhengxun Hong from Singapore, who graduated as a Master of Financial Analysis in 2010: ‘The credibility of the program and the business school has definitely aided me in my job search. Looking forward, I believe that the program has laid a solid foundation which will be instrumental in my career progression.’

The ASB is committed to helping students succeed in today’s competitive business world, and helping them become the best they can be.
