No relief from loadshedding

ATTOCK, July 15: The month of fasting could not bring relief from loadshedding as many parts of the city still suffer prolonged power outages.

The residents of these localities were not spared even during Iftar and Sehri timings.

The people were expecting loadshedding would be reduced during Ramazan, but unfortunately there is no relief as yet, causing great hardship for the people during hot and humid weather, they complained.

They said children, elderly people and women were suffering the most.

Besides power load shedding, the skyrocketing prices have kept fruit, vegetables, meat and other essential out of the common man reach, they maintained.

The people have asked the government to either suspend loadshedding or reduce it in Ramazan so that they could observe fasting without any problem.

Meanwhile, Anjuman Imambargah Punjtani, Attock city have also adopted a resolution against the prevailing power loadshedding.

The president of the Anjuman Syed Raza Naqvi said that soon after Iftar, power breakdown observed, which affected the Iftari and other worship activities.

Besides loadshedding, the residents of different localities have also complained of very low voltage of electricity and fluctuation, which adds to their miseries.
