Rs2.6m looted in three strikes

LAHORE, May 12: Robbers plundered cash and valuables worth Rs2.6 million in three major strikes in the city on Sunday.

Four robbers barged into the house of Baber Ali near China Scheme and looted cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs1.1 million.

Robbers stormed into the house of Idrees in Sherakot police station limits and plundered cash and valuables worth Rs800,000.

Armed men burst into the house of Shahjahan and escaped after looting cash and valuables worth Rs700,000.

A pickpocket deprived journalist Khizar Hayat Gondal of his wallet containing Rs25,000 in cash, ATM cards, driving license, office ID card in H-Block Model Town. — Staff Reporter
