Air chief inspects PAF base
LAHORE, April 19: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt inspected on Friday the PAF Base, an air base of Central Air Command.
In order to carry out operational evaluation of the PAF installations, equipment and support unit, the air chief is inspecting various regional air commands and air bases.
Upon his arrival at the base, a smartly turned out contingent presented him guard of honour. The air chief reviewed the parade and addressed a joint gathering of airmen, according to a handout issued on Friday.
Addressing the personnel, he said: “Besides maintaining the highest professional standards, there is a need of the hour that we must be ready to respond to any external/internal security challenge.”
He also emphasised upon the commanders to put in more effort in improving the quality of living for the airmen.
The air chief was briefed on the role and task of the various units with a focus on operational and administrative tasks and various projects of infrastructure development being carried out at the base. Later, he visited various installations where he interacted with the airmen.
Earlier upon his arrival, the air chief was received by Air Vice Marshal Asad Lodhi, air officer commanding, Central Air Command and base commander.
