KARACHI, July 7: A senior activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement was shot dead in North Karachi on Sunday night.

According to police, 45-year-old Azhar Ayub was shot and wounded by armed motorcyclists. He was taken to the AbbasiShaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Azhar was joint in-charge of MQM’s Unit-137 in North Karachi, a police officer said.
