KARACHI: Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Zahid Kurban Alavi said on Saturday that the interim government would attempt to improve the law and order situation in Karachi, DawnNews reported.

Alavi and Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad visited Quaid-i-Azam’s mausoleum on Saturday and laid a floral wreathe.

Speaking at the occasion, Alavi said the caretaker government would attempt to improve the situation in the city by meeting with all stakeholders in the near future.

Governor Ebad said the ‘enemies of the country’ could only be defeated by following the principles of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Moreover, he congratulated the outgoing government and opposition on completing five years of democracy, adding that he hoped that the coming elections would be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
