I AM a retired junior commissioned officer of the PAF. I receive my pension from Post Office, Gulgasht Colony, Multan. The government announced 20 per cent increase in pension in the annual budget 2012-13. But, unfortunately, I along with many other ex-servicemen have been denied this increase. I am told that unnecessary delay in payment is being caused by the CMA, Lahore.

Owing to soaring prices of commodities and old age, it is very difficult for ex-servicemen to sustain life. Can someone at the higher echelon please help.

MUHAMMAD RIAZ Ex-CWO, PAF     Multan

Merging for what?

The concern is that if the government is thinking of cutting costs through the merger, we might even lose the functionality levels we currently have.
