Police sources said that Panjgur’s Airport Manager Yasir Arafat was driving his car through Panjgur bazaar when armed men on a motorcycle opened fire, killing him on the spot.

“The airport manager received five bullets in his chest and head and died on the spot,” Jamil Ahmed, district police officer, Panjgur, said, adding that it was a case of target killing.

The deceased belonged to Punjab and his body was sent to his native town, Lahore.

A case has been registered.

In Mastung, a doctor was shot dead. Police said armed men sprayed bullets on Dr Lakhmi Chand when he was going to hospital from his residence in Hindu Mohallah.

Police were taking the doctor to hospital, but he succumbed to injuries before reaching there.
