Heavy security greets Zulqarnain Haider

Pakistan wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider was whisked away by security officials at the Benazir International Airport, Islamabad, as he ended his exile and returned home from Britain on Monday. The security personnel did not allow the runaway glovesman to speak to dozens of waiting media representatives before he was driven in a jeep away from the airport. Security officials pushed back reporters when they tried to approach Haider for comments. “I don't know what happened and why he didn't talk to reporters,” an official, who accompanied Haider from the VIP lounge said. The official, who was not allowed to talk to media, said that there were plans to have a media conference with Haider outside the VIP lounge, but “maybe it was changed at the last minute.” Haider later met with interior minister Rehman Malik, who has given security assurances to the wicketkeeper and his family in Pakistan. Last week he revoked his application for asylum in Britain after meeting Malik in England.

Zulqarnain should be ashamed of himself for what he has done to the country. I hope he is never selected, in the national side.

What drama is he playing and who is directing it? if he has the facts then why does he not spill it out? what better place then UK, where he came to expose the culprits..... i say cheap publicity and our media is sponsoring it...

he is a big liar.... when he knows so why he dosent took the name of the culprits..... he just playing with pakistanies emotoins and wants to get u.k nationality.... thats it.

It's implausible but this bitter fact has been observed by everyone all over the globe that a Pakistani cricketer (national cricket team player) has asked for asylum in the UK. First of all I don't know why he asked for asylum in this manner and if he has such kind of threat to his life then why he left this country and withdrew his claim immediately. Actually he didn't know what he has done and what will be the after affects of this nuisance act. A national hero, an ambassador, a person who has got a celebrity status back home. Why he did this act, nobody knows.

I would suggest to wait before making any self decision, may be Zulqarnain is our hero who did not opt bribe just like three of our other restricted players and opt the way to ruin his glamorous career...

It is very strange why Minister Rehman Malik take interest to protect Zulqernain Haider while no other shown this. No doubt he was good keeper also bated well in dubai May be some of influencial players in pak team to secure themselves giving threat to Zulqernain Haider to stop to comeback. I doubt Akmal brothers who have strong relation with big fish are playing this type of tactics. Watch and dig to find out the real facts.
