DERA ISMAIL KHAN, March 21: Two would-be suicide bombers, riding a motorcycle, were killed when explosives strapped to their bodies went off in Gurwali area here on Monday, police said.

Police said that body parts of the bombers, a hand grenade, two pistols, one identity card and two cellular phone sets were recovered from the site. They said that the parts of the alleged bombers were sent for DNA test.

Police registered a case and started investigation to ascertain where the bombers were heading when the incident occurred. Meanwhile, Ratta Kulachi Stadium has been handed over to civil administration on the directives of operational commander of D.I. Khan and South Waziristan Agency, Maj-Gen Asim Salim Bajwa.

Station Commander Brig Sarfaraz Ahmad visited the stadium and its adjacent sports complex in this connection. The district sports officer, Raziullah Bhetani, briefed the station commander about the facilities at sports complex and stadium.— Correspondent
