BADIN: Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza has said he is ready to take a back seat if he is considered to be the cause of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s anger and if that would please the MQM.

Talking to journalists in Golarchi on Tuesday, he said he respected the mandate of democratic parties, including the MQM, and was ready to render a sacrifice to save democracy.

The minister came to Golarchi to offer condolences to Abdul Majeed whose son Majid Memon, a leader of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz, was killed on Sunday in a clash following the hoisting of JSMM flags on the office building of the Lar Abadgar Welfare Association.

A partial strike was observed in Golarchi in protest against the killing of Mr Memon.
