ISLAMABAD, Nov 15: A man was gunned down in the capital’s suburbs over old enmity on Monday, police said. Abil Khan, 40, a native of Hangu, was killed in Sara-i-Kharboza as he was shot in the neck by killers. Eyewitness told police unidentified persons chasing the victim opened fire when he was nearing home.

Suspecting rivals of the family behind the killing, the second wife of Khan told police the victim’s elder son from his first wife was killed in Hangu by rivals over enmity. After killing of the elder son, Khan sent his younger son to Dubai.

Police said Khan had also killed one of his rivals in revenge for his son’s death. As the matter between the two rival families was settled, Khan with his second wife and five children moved to Islamabad 18 months ago. He was working as watchman and assisting a cousin as shop assistant in Sara-i-Kharboza.
