Imran and Asim hit centuries

KARACHI, Feb 19: Fine centuries by Imran Abbas and Asim Munir helped Gujranwala amass 491 for eight declared in their first innings on the second day of the Quaid Trophy Grade-I tie against Faisalabad at Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala Tuesday.

Imran made 165 while Asim struck 131 as the pair carried their overnight fifth-wicket partnership to 271 after Gujranwala resumed at 227 for four.

Faisalabad replied with 16 for no wicket at stumps.
