LAHORE, June 6: Nepal coach Thomas Flath vows his side will earn a victory against Pakistan in the last match of the SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) Championship. The match will be played in Male, Maldives, on Saturday.
“It will be a tough game against Pakistan which clinched the Pokhara series on the Nepalese soil on better goal counts last March. We want to defeat them,” Flath said as both Pakistan and Nepal have not won a match yet.
They have been ousted from the competition and the win will only be for consolation.
Flath said his top priority was to prepare his players for the AFC Challenge Cup.
“This would be a good chance for the team to prepare for the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup,” he added.
Pakistan had lost their opening match 3-0 against Maldives and lost all the chances to qualify for semi-finals when India trounced them 2-1.
