Deaf cricket team named

LAHORE, Dec 29: A 16-member team will represent Pakistan in the first Deaf Asia Cricket Cup to be held at Mumbai, India from March 10-18. Zaka Ahmed Qureshi will lead the side while Nabeel Anjum will be Zaka’s deputy.

A selection committee, comprising Intikhab Ahmad, Tariq Cheema and Naeem Ahmed named the team.

Squad: Zaka Ahmed Qureshi (captain), Nabeel Anjum (vice-captain), Bilal Aslam, Naved Abbas, Yasir Nazir, Mohammad Iqbal, Kamran Tariq, Naseer Ahmed Butt (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Hassan (wicket-keeper), Irfan Ahmed, Mohammad Shakeel, Adnan Ghani, Gohar Usman, Naeem Baig, Nadeem and Fida Hussain.
