KARACHI: Top seed Tayyab Aslam defeated Mohammad Ammad Gul in straight games in the final of the ninth Jahangir Khan PSA Series Challenger Squash Tournament here at the Jahangir Khan Sports Club on Saturday.

In the 49-minute decider, Tayyab of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) secured a 11-4, 11-6, 11-5 victory over Imad Gul of Pakistan Air Force.

Tayyab received Rs161,000 and a trophy from the $3,000 prize purse while runner-up Ammad was awarded Rs101,000 and a trophy.

In supplementary events, Mohammad Saim defeated Owais Sudais Paracha to become the U-13 champion while Fahad Aziz beat Kawish Farrukh in the Masters category final.
