LAHORE: World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-Pakistan) and Descon Engineering Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in removing plastic-garbage from City drains.

As per the MoU, Descon will provide a simple, cost-effective and scalable solution. A prototype solution is being designed for the initial phase, which will be replicated all over the country in next phases.

Descon CEO Taimur Saeed said the initiative promises long-term ecological benefits and the company takes pride in this first-of-its-kind solution in the country.

WWF-Pakistan Director General Hammad Naqi said as Pakistan was already facing negative impact of climate change and environmental degradation, all must come together to restore the ecological balance for a healthier, progressive and sustainable future.
