DERA MURAD JAMALI: A leader of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F), Sardarzada Mir Zahid Khan Lehri was shot dead in Ghazi village in Kachhi district on Monday.

Official sources said Mr Lehri was on a visit to his agricultural land near Ghazi village when unidentified attackers opened fire on him.

Zahid Lehri and his guard were injured. Personnel of the Levies Force rushed to the scene of the attack and shifted them to a nearby health facility where Zahid Lehri died.

Mr Lehri was a member of the provincial council of JUI-F, Balochistan chapter.

The Levies Force has registered a case against unknown attackers and started an investigation.
