RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Friday demolished offices and billboards of six illegal housing societies.

According to the authority’s spokesman, the RDA team with the assistance of Chontra police and Elite Force conducted the operation against Khanyal Homes, Green Oaks Farmhouse, Rabia Residency, Abdullah City and Blue World City on Chakri Road Rawalpindi.

He said that the offices of two illegal housing schemes including Khanyal Homes and Green Oaks Farmhouse (Mivida Block) have been sealed. Moreover, Mivida Housing Scheme’s booking offices have been demolished and a horse installed at the entrance gate of Green Oaks Farmhouse has been razed. The Guinness advertising office has also been sealed.

He said Abdullah City had obtained a stay order, therefore, proceedings against the housing scheme were stayed in the light of the court order.

“The signboards of Star Enclave were torn down which were misusing the name of Rabia Residency (Star Enclave). The offices of the old site Magma City and Khayaban Iftikhar who have partnership with Blue World City have also been sealed and the roadside boards have been torn down,” he said.
