PESHAWAR: Peshawar district and sessions judge, Mohammad Younas Khan, on Monday inaugurated computerised cases institution branch on premises of district courts as part of Case Flow Management System that would help lawyers and litigants in online tracking of any case.

Work had been started on computerised institution of cases as pilot phase of Case Flow Management System (CFMS) in the district courts few months ago but the process had slowed down due to lockdown on account of Covid-19 pandemic.

Soon after the lockdown was eased, the process of computerisation was resumed resulting in inauguration of computerised civil and session institution branches.

The simple inaugural ceremony was also attended by Peshawar District Bar Association president Akhter Biland, its general secretary Safiullah and director IT of Peshawar High Court, Lal Shad.

With the inauguration of this branch, the computerised registration would be mandatory soon after submitting a case in the district courts. After scanning of the case file, it will be marked to the relevant court and entire proceedings of the case would be computerised and uploaded online.

Relevant lawyers will be able to view online order sheets of their respective cases whereas litigants will also be able to know next date of hearing of their cases online. Moreover, cause lists will also be available online.

District Judge Mohammad Younas said that work on the computerised branch was started on the directives of Peshawar High Court.
