Meet Seneca's youngest Pakistani member of Board of Governors

Hamza Baig, Student Governor, Seneca College
Hamza Baig, Student Governor, Seneca College

My name is Hamza Baig.

Three years ago, I joined Seneca as an international student. I am a proud graduate of The City School Pakistan where I completed more than ten years of my education until my first year of A-levels which I completed at KIMS Lahore, Pakistan.

Choosing Seneca for my undergraduate studies over many other institutions was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I feel every Seneca campus provides lots of opportunities and allows to meet amazing people whose value you realise upon graduation. Interactions with these people and learning about their cultures, languages, likes and dislikes has left a lasting impact on me. The learning never ends. You will find different clubs and societies where you can share your interests with many other students.

A few months back, I was elected as Seneca’s student governor, and now I am the first Pakistani and the youngest member of the board of governors.

I will be the voice and representative for more than 100,000 full-time and part-time Seneca students. Recently, I started working with Seneca International as a business development coordinator where I develop strategies to recruit students from Pakistan.

I feel every success, every failure, and every experience has brought me to where I am today. It’s all about the journey and every opportunity you get along the way. I wish to see a great number of students from Pakistan coming here and making a better future for themselves.

Seneca College is participating at the DAWN Education Expo in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore, and we wish to see you there and guide you about studying in Canada at Seneca.
