Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that Indian spy Kulbushan Jadhav was convicted by the court of law and it was established that he was a terrorist, spy and an agent involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan.

"Had Jadhav not been arrested on time, he might have spread more destruction in Pakistan," said Nisar while addressing the passing-out parade of 800 recruits of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) at Warsak, Peshawar.

The interior minister further said that there is no doubt that the whole nation is united on national security issues and advised "misguided elements" to avoid making this issue controversial.

He pointed out that it was India, and not Pakistan which had approached the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and added that the Pakistan government would deal Jadhav case according to its law of the land.

Paying tributes to the martyrs of the forces, he said they sacrificed for national solidarity so that the people could live in a peaceful atmosphere.

Nisar added that the government would take necessary steps for the betterment of the security forces, adding that on the directives of Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif about Rs80 billion had been spent on the civil armed forces.

"29 new wings would be established in coming two to three months," further said the interior minister.

Referring to Afghanistan, the interior minister stated that Pakistan has close relations with the neighbouring country and wants peace and stability in Afghanistan as it is in Pakistan's interests.

"However, if Afghanistan would toe the Indian line then it would not be tolerated," said the interior minister.
