KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday called for taking the ongoing operation in the city to its logical conclusion without any concession for criminals.

He was talking to Rangers Director General Major General Bilal Akbar, who called on him here at the President’s camp office The president described peace in Karachi as vital for country’s development and stability and said an indiscriminate action against criminals was the only way to give a sense of security to citizens.

He lauded the services of the Rangers for the restoration of peace to the city and said the nation was proud of the security forces and law enforcing agencies, whose personnel rendered invaluable sacrifices for the establishment of peace.

The president said the objective of achieving economic stability was possible only after the elimination of terrorism and unrest for which coordination between the people and law enforcement agencies was essential.

Maj Gen Bilal Akbar briefed the president on law and order in Karachi and actions being taken against criminals.
