GUJRAT: AC Noorul Ain Qureshi on Friday sealed a factory for preparing substandard mineral water, which was not fit for human consumption as per laboratory tests.

An official team comprising health and food authorities and headed by the AC inspected the factory of Family Mineral Water along G.T. Road near Gurali village where sanitary conditions were of poor standard. Samples of the company’s bottled water had already been sent for lab tests that declared it unfit and substandard as the local administration had received a complaint regarding poor standard of water from that company.

DEVELOPMENT: The Punjab government approved three development projects, including construction of land record centres in the district, establishment of Rescue 1122 centre in Sarai Alamgir and construction of roads in the University of Gujrat (UoG).

Amount of Rs490m has been allocated in the Annual Development Programme for these projects.
