BERLIN: A Pakistani Muslim man strangled his daughter to death in an act of 'honour killing', after learning of her affair with a young Muslim man in the German town of Darmstadt, said a report published on bild.de.
Asadullah K. and Shazia K., face trial at a district court in Germany for the joint murder of their daughter, 19-year-old Lareeb K.
According to the report, Lareeb's parents — who are of Pakistani origin and hold German nationality — opposed her wish to marry her boyfriend.
Asadullah allegedly strangled Lareeb to death in January earlier this year, according to indictment documents mentioned in the report. Despite encountering Asadullah while he strangled Lareeb, the mother Shazia did not intervene and later helped carry Lareeb's body to the car.
The report says that the pair then brought the girl's body near a forest 10 minutes away from their home, and pushed the body down a slope. The body was discovered by passersby in the morning.
Asadullah strangled Lareeb on the night she was caught stealing condoms, the report says.
The next hearing of the trial is scheduled for October 2.

If people intend and try to settle on a foreign soil they must be mentally prepared for such demands of kids, if one feels he/she cannot accept such acts they should not even think to migrate to any western country, where all kind of freedom is given to people, no matter parents like it or not. In this case when boy was a Muslim there should not be any issue to the parents.

As per religion of Islam, getting married to your loved one is the right of the one getting married, not the prerogative of their parents to stop them from it. Most parents try to take away that right from the child, and these things happen. And yes, these are the risks of living in western countries, so one must prepare their children accordingly. Very sad and inhuman act on the part of the parents. Bringing bad name to Islam and Pakistan and the family destroyed for unacceptable arrogance and lack of understanding of things.what a sad news.

I'm a British national my wife will not go to live in UK because she feels our daughters and son will be spoiled,she prefers to bring them up in Pakistan so they are within their own culture.People are hypocrites who want the good of the land but do not want to change one bit.The parents should be grateful she chose a muslim rather then black,white etc.

Agreed, I know people who had settled in the west , being lured by the freedom and security it offers. But some had enough sense to leave the country during the formative years of their children and only return after the they gained maturity and had sense of judging to compare good from the bad. There was little risk of their indiscriminate assimilation and integration in the or adopt the values and culture contrary to Islamic belief and tradition. These children mostly are able to make informed choices and not led blindly by the values and misleading freedom of the west. This is one of the way of saving a generation and the other is not to migrate to the west at all , because it is the fruit that one may repent not eating but may may repent more after eating it.

I know for a fact that there are people living in Bradford, Birmingham and rest of England who are still living in their village in Pakistan of fifty years ago. In many cases, their women do not speak English. The world has moved on but they are stuck in ignorance. These people are a disgrace to their society and the Muslim community.
