SIALKOT: Badiana police recovered on Thursday a Lahore-based minor child and arrested two kidnappers.

Police said an issueless couple, Fiaz and Yasmeen, had been working as servants at the house of trader Muhammad Amjad in Ferozwala near Lahore for the last one month.

The couple kidnapped their master’s four-year-old son Naqeeb Amjad about a week back and took him to Sudhaarwali village in Badiana.

The police traced the kidnappers through their mobile phone number and recovered the child besides arresting the couple. The child was handed over to his parents.

Police sent the accused couple to jail after registering a case against them.

KILLED: A tea stall vendor was killed in a gas cylinder explosion at his makeshift shop in Jinnah Chowk locality, Daska.

Reports said Abdul Rasheed, 47, was busy preparing tea when the cylinder exploded, injuring him seriously. He died while being taken to a hospital.

Police handed over the body to his family.
