A biopic on a former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, especially focusing on the days when she imposed Emergency in her country, is in the offing.

The director of the film Manish Gupta has written the script and has sent it to Congress’ leader Sonia Gandhi for her approval. The Indian media is suggesting that Sonia G, in all probability, will nod in the affirmative.

As to who’s going to play the role of the controversial PM, well, it is said a copy of the script has reached the bold and the beautiful Vidya Balan too. Time for some politicking then!
