Pakistan was the 1st country to accept China after its creation. In 60's Pakistan was stronger than China and it was Pakistan who helped China in UN and in all foreign events and always helped in natural disasters. Now China is stronger and its reciprocating and returning old good will gestures of Pakistan and this is called true and all weather friendship.

Animosities are the root cause of our hindered development. President XI should visit all provincial capitals but most probably in cultural show he is shown culture of all units.

This visit and proposed projects will bring prosperity in Pakistan provided Government would involve different stake holders, in all processes, in a positive manner.

Dear Pakistani's please dont go on Punjabi, Sindi, Balochi, KPK. It is all about Pakistan. If anyone province establishes, it is always beneficial to Pakistan, not Punjab. It is Islamabad, capital city of Pakistan, not Punjab or any other province. Please stop thinking like what people were thinking in 1970s and we lost to our enemies half part of our country. Think positive and think positive ONLY ABOUT PAKISTAN, it is my humble request to all PAKISTANIS.

Is Sino-Pak relationship really a genuine friendship or is it based only to counter India? Sino-Pak 'friendship' grew mainly after the Sino-India war of 1962 or to be precise when the border tensions between China and India had started growing at the start of the 60's. Pakistan has supported China,practically blindly, in all the atrocities China has carried out on her own people. Also Pakistan has supported China in all its border disputes with other countries irrespective of the merits of the dispute. Pakistan needs China far more than China needing Pakistan. Except for supporting as an irritant to keep India busy, Pakistan is honestly serving no other purpose to China. In terms of trade and investment, China has much more at stake with India. And as far as the USD 46bn investment is concerned, let us wait and watch!!!

@arshad Agreed
All the youth i know endorses the same view, i don't know who these people are, they just keep saying about their provinces, you don't represent your province outside you represent your country........i don't know why these people hate Punjab so much, just look at the CM of Punjab, he works day and night, what Qiam Ali shah is doing?what IK doing? if Shabaz sharif is going outside and bringing investment then according to the 18 amendment all the CMs can travel outside and bring investment..... these politicians just say things to people so that they can get vote from them then they will leave you and live outside
if someone is doing a good thing you gotta support him...
Just let Pakistan live for God's sake!

The people should realize this is a game changer in the region and beyond. The China- pakistan economic corridor will become the silk trade route. Those who link to it will economically benefit to no end. Mid East, west towards Russia and all the Islands in the Asian Ocean will be linked.

@Dudenator reflects poor history taught in Indian schools. Pak- China contacts began in 1956. In late 50s pakistan gave permission for Chinese transport, civilian planes to fly over their territory, when the world ostracized the communist country, including india. That air corridor was a lifeline for China, which they have never forgotten. In 1962 Pakistan warned India not to misadventure with China, but as usual they did not listen and got a hammering. In 1969 pakistan set up reproachment between US and China. The famous Kissinger night trip in a PAF to see Cho inlai and Maozetung. Pakistan is more appreciated than anyone knows. That's why the chinese elevated status term ' iron brothers'. Not used for anyone else.

@debadutta Yes but if you study nature they do lay all their in their own nest. The idea is that one should know how protect their nest because if you lay your eggs in others nest then chicks belongs to them or they are kicked out of the nest . Whatever being built and invested in Pakistan belongs to Pakistanis rest is a on paper.

@Awais Ali India was the first country outside the Communist block to recognise China. On Jan 01, 1951 India recognised China. Pakistan did it it on May 21,1951. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dates_of_establishment_of_diplomatic_relations_with_the_People%27s_Republic_of_China
