LAHORE: A Lahore Development Authority (LDA) team on Tuesday sealed offices of three private residential schemes on account of violation of various rules.

According to a spokesman the schemes are Awasia Town, Lahore Avenue and Public Health Housing Society. The offices were sealed after the developers failed to execute the required plots’ mortgage deed in favour of the LDA.

The team avoided sealing offices of NFC and E&T housing schemes after the developers pledged to complete formalities by visiting LDA’s Directorate of Estate Management by the end of this week.

The team also issued a final warning to the PIA society (phase-2) management to reply to the LDA management in writing regarding illegal occupation of a plot by a school chain. It sealed a school built on a plot unlawfully in Revenue Housing Scheme, directing the officials concerned to justify their stance soon before the LDA officials concerned.

The team also sealed some shops built unlawfully at the LCCI Housing scheme (phase-1) besides Marghazar Housing Society, Multan Road.

BUSES: The Lahore Transport Company has decided to import 277 new diesel-run buses and induct these in the existing fleet plying on various urban and semi urban routes of the provincial metropolis.

The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by LTC chairman Khwaja Ahmad Hassaan here on Tuesday.

The meeting also reduced the age limit from 65 to 60 years of senior citizens for traveling in buses free of cost.

SALE POINTS: The CDGL on Tuesday identified and allocated various sale points for sacrificial animals.

A spokesman says the sale points are A-One China Scheme (Gujjarpura), Shahpur Kanjran, Bismillah Housing Scheme (GT Road), LDA Avenue-I scheme, Defence Road (Kaacha), APS Factory (Ferozepur Road) and Saggian Bridge.

A suitable site at Aziz Bhatti Town is being searched, says the spokesman.
