The president has summoned both houses of the Parliament assembled together in the Parliament House on Monday, says a press release on Friday.

The joint sitting will be held at 4:30 pm in the Parliament House, according to the spokesman of the National Assembly Secretariat.

The president has called the meeting in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 read with clauses (1) and (3) of Article 56 of the Constitution of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, President Zardari, who has departed for Dubai where he is expected to meet his son, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, will be back in time for the all important joint session of the parliament.
