Musharraf evades arrest as bail cancelled

General (retd) Pervez Musharraf on Thursday escaped from the premises of the Islamabad High Court after the cancellation of his bail application by Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui in the judges’ detention case.
Immediately after bail cancellation, police tried to reach the former military ruler but he was escorted by his personal security, fleeing in his bullet-proof black four-wheeler. A spokesman for his All Pakistan Muslim League said Musharraf would appeal against the arrest order in the Supreme Court, but if the order is upheld, then he expected the authorities to put him under house arrest.

yeah right! if this is the treatment for the soldiers of Pakistan army, then the present army morale would be down. Pak Army should do something about it.

iam totally disagree with the court orders . he is one of the first dictators who surrend his uniform in a favour of his country. if he is arested then arrest all former generals which are involve in cases.

If we put Musharaf to jail, then we should put all the other politicians to jail too. Justice should not be optional. And yes, we need to put judges to jail too. Any case against anyone should be implemented.

I observed big support for Musharaf over the internet under all of dawn recent articles related to him with comments open. To all those who have commented against Musharaf on this one let me ask one thing. Have you ever developed the same hatred for the incompetent, corrupt, ruling class in Pre and Post Musharaf Era and did anyone of those rulers ever accepted their faults or were brought to justice. Sans who have pssed away Nawaz, Zardari, Rajas, & Jillani's have all plundered the nations wealth and have defied constitution but did they ever or are caught and brought to justice. When will we learn to have justice same for all.

I think it is about time to prosecute everyone who has violated the Pakistan constitution or committed corruption regardless the person is an army general, politician, or judge. Keep in mind that most of the corrupt politicians placed in power by the military general in the past.
