QUETTA: Lawyers on Monday staged a protest in Quetta against the kidnapping of Balochistan’s former advocate general Salahuddin Mengal, DawnNews reported.

The rally’s participants went through various roads before they reached the provincial governor’s residence. Upon reaching there, lawyers chanted slogans against the government and law enforcement agencies and demanded that Mengal be recovered.

Mengal was abducted at gunpoint from Quetta’s Sariab road area on April 3.

He was on his way home from the Balochistan High Court when armed men stopped his vehicle and took him.
