SRINAGAR, March 16: Police in India-held Kashmir have detained Parandeep Singh, a daily wager with the public health department, who allegedly provided shelter to militants who carried out the suicide attack on Wednesday, killing five police personnel.

Police were looking for Singh after his name figured during interrogation of Bashir Ahmed alias Haroon Bhai, a resident of Uri who allegedly worked for Lashkar-i-Taiba militant group.
