THE PML-N is loudly saying that if it comes to power it will change the fate of the people of Pakistan. The current Punjab government, which has PML-N at the helm of affairs, has done some noteworthy projects.
But is it noteworthy only or remarkable also? The question is: what has the Punjab government done under the leadership of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif?
Most of the projects are done in Lahore and many critics believe that south Punjab has been ignored.
However, in the last 18 months Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also paid attention to south Punjab cities when the demand for a new province was made by the people.
The PTI’s public gathering on Oct 30 was also a wake-up call for the PML-N which has started many projects. But most of these projects, such as laptop scheme, were to attract voters.
The budget, which was used for distributing laptops, should have been used in setting up digital libraries which can help more students. Shahbaz Sharif once again launched yellow cab scheme for graduates.
It is hoped that the party which will form government in Punjab will look into the issues of health, education, etc.
