KARACHI, Jan 24: The Sindh government on Thursday banned pillion-riding for Friday in seven major cities of the province, including Karachi and Hyderabad, following security threats on Eid Milad-un-Nabi, officials said.

“The ban would be effective from 8am to 10pm in Karachi, Hyderabad, Khairpur, Larkana, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Naushahro Feroze,” said an official. “The decision is temporary and in fact part of security arrangements being made for the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal.”—Staff Reporter
