I TAKE this opportunity to request the members of the legislative bodies of Pakistan to take measures for regularisation of disabled employees serving in contractual cadres in public sector and private institutions.

Also these employees are facing unpleasant behaviour of their supervisors not trained at handling disability. They are often threatened to be fired and made to face the music if they refuse to sign blank appraisal forms by supervisors.

The situation in public sector organisations like banks and corporations is worse where racial discrimination is rampant.

I request our lawmakers to take measures and protect the rights of disabled employees and provide training to employers for handling disability.
