FAISALABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League -Quaid (PML-Q) and the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) have agreed on seat adjustment for the coming general elections, DawnNews reported.

The leadership of both the parties have said that for the betterment of peace and stability in the country, it is important that their alliance succeeds.

Speaking to the media at a press conference in Faisalabad, PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that no party can solve the problems affecting the country alone.

"We will work together for the benefit of Pakistan," he said, further stating that they will move forward with religious parties.

SIC leader Sahibzada Fazal Karim said that they are in agreement with the PML-Q on seat adjustment and that they will hold talks with other parties as well.

He said that it was important to build national unity at a time when the country is going through a difficult period.
