LAHORE, Nov 9: Gulberg police claim to have arrested a gang of four swindlers and seized fake copies of passports, education degrees, medical certificates and counterfeit currencies of different countries.

Gulberg Circle ASP Tariq Aziz Sindhu told media on Friday that the swindlers gang had deprived several people of their belongings through forged documents.

On the rising number of complaints of forgery, he said, a police team traced the culprits and arrested four of them from a park.

The police recovered from their possession fake documents including passports, fake currency, education degrees, birth certificates, national identity cards, fake bank statements, etc.

The ASP said that one of the arrested swindlers Khawaja Ahmer would visit various cities of the country and trap innocent people through his wife. Another swindler Zaheer would arrange fake currency from Karachi to sell it in the Lahore market.
